Welcome Message
Thank you for visiting the official Gerry Marshall website. Much has been said and written about Gerry Marshall over the years and especially in the year since his sad passing. Despite numerous reports, Gerry died from a heart related illness whilst testing the ex-Richard Petty Penske built IROC Camaro at Silverstone on the 21st April 2005. He remained in full control of the car and was on a hot lap when it happened and gracefully pulled to the outside of Luffield. A true professional to the end, he thought of the car and the safety of those around him and had flicked off the fuel pumps and cut off switches. It is with a sense of sadness that we developed this site but also one of pride. The three of us have all drawn great comfort from the fact that dad was highly respected in the motorsport world. We are extremely fortunate that his life, and even his death, have been so well documented and indeed, one of his most important legacies is a vast photographic library that we have been able to utilise for this website. It has been virtually impossible to trace and credit all of the photographers, so we would like to thank you for the use of your photographs and apologise in advance if we have been unable to contact you. This website has been predominantly developed to impart information with regard to Gerry's career and give some insight into Gerry Marshall the man, not just the racing driver. We have further expansion plans for the site so please be aware that it is by no means completed. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who has at some stage over the years been a part of Gerry's extraordinary life and above all, his many thousands of fans, who supported him and cheered him on at the coldest and windiest weekends at Silverstone, Snetterton, Brands Hatch, Oulton Park, Mallory Park, Castle Combe, Thruxton, Donington, Goodwood, the list goes on……………. Warmest regards
Tina, Justine and Gregor
